Why do we test for this?

This test looks at the Alexa rank for a website.  Alexa is a well-known company that monitor worldwide internet traffic which enables them to rank every website in the world which gets enough traffic to register on their system. 

How do we test for this?

We get data from Alexa which tells us:

• The absolute popularity rank of a website - How popular the site is compared to all other sites ranked.
• The relative change in the popularity of a website - How the popularity of the site has changed over  the last 3 months.

What can I do about it?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to improve this score in the short term.  Improving a popularity score involves a lot of dedication and a good long-term marketing strategy.
